Rick Busch entered the insurance business as an insurance adjuster in the mid-1980’s. He learned about the insurance industry by reading policies, investigating fires, auto accidents, and all the other disasters that befall policyholders. He has experience in evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims for several years.

In 1988 Rick joined The Argus Group, Inc. as a producer and eventually purchased the agency. He worked with insurance company representatives, agency clients, and prospective customers. He initially sold property and casualty products but obtained his life and health insurance license in 1988 and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1992.

Rick has served on numerous insurance company advisory panels and has been involved in North Carolina insurance education since he began his insurance career. He was the Carolina Association of Professional Insurance Agents Young Professional of the year in 1996 and the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina Young Agent of the Year in 2000. He was also a past president of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Independent Insurance Agents and still participates in the Harold A. Tucker Endowed Scholarship Fund at Appalachian State University.

Rick was a long-time member of the Clemmons Rotary Club and is an avid soccer player and golfer.
